University selection
Are subject rankings more useful than overall rankings?
A subject ranking can be closer to your academic area, but still needs its methodology checked. It may cover broad research performance rather than the teaching experience of your exact degree. Use it alongside programme content, supervision, resources and relevant outcomes. Moving to a subject table does not remove the need for programme-level investigation.
